The Primary Care and Population Health Grand Rounds topic: “Plant-Based Diets: A Potent Tool for Chronic Disease Prevention & Treatment​” webinar was presented by Michelle McMacken, M.D. live on November 26, 2018. Dr. Michelle McMacken’s presentation aims to equip participants with a baseline understanding of how to 1) understand the key components of a healthful plant-based diet, 2) become familiar with evidence supporting the use of plant-based nutrition to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes, and to reduce cancer risk, and 3) explore approaches to begin counseling patients on plant-based nutrition.

Target Audience

This session is intended for all Primary Care team members (MD, RD, DO, PA, NP, RN, SW). Continuing nursing and medical education credits will be provided to participants as applicable.
